Maricar Suntukan begins a new phase in her life in Los Angeles. Fresh from dumping her boyfriend, from crying, and from smashing things, Maricar looks at the world and tries to find committment. Instead of living her 30's in the land of the matrix, she chooses to drink the red pill and chase reality. But, reality can be a bumpy road for people who are "single, self-supporting, childless, [and] boyfriendless graduate student."
